Share projects with your colleagues or Luminary Support.

You can share existing projects with other users in your company in view-only mode. To make changes to a project that is shared with you, create a copy.

  1. On the Projects Summary page, hover over the project you want to share.

  2. Click the three dots ... on the right.

  3. Select Share to open the Share Project dialog.

  4. Enter a user's name or email address. They must be registered on your company’s Luminary Cloud account.

  5. Click Share.

When viewing a project, you can see who it's shared with in the upper-right corner. In the Share Project dialog, you can see who has access, copy a link to your project, and revoke access if needed.

Viewers of a project can:

  • View simulation settings, simulation results, and existing visualization filters

  • Create and apply visualization filters

  • Rotate, zoom, and pan in the 3D Viewer

  • Download surface data, output data, project settings, and screenshots

  • Create a copy of the project

You can't share projects that are shared with you. Make a copy to share with another user, or ask the owner of the project to share.

Note: When you create visualization filters in a project that's been shared with you, those filters will only persist while you are in the project. Once you leave the project, they will be removed.

If the project is deleted by the owner, it will be removed from the viewer's project list.

Share a Project with Support

You can share projects directly with the Luminary support team for faster troubleshooting.

  1. From inside the project you'd like to share, click the Share button at the top of the page. You can also do this from the Projects Summary page by hovering over the project and clicking the three dots ... on the right.

  2. Click on the text box and select Luminary Support from the top of the list.

  3. Enter a description of your request.

  4. Click Share.

You'll receive an email confirmation that your support request has been received.

Luminary Support will have view-only access to your project and can make a copy if needed to diagnose the issue.

You can remove Support's access to the project at any time by clicking the Share button, clicking on Viewer, and selecting Remove access.
