Multi-Factor Authentication
Updated over a week ago

When you create an account with Luminary, you'll be asked to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to ensure secure access to your account. Each time you log in you will need to enter your password and provide a unique code. You can use the Authenticator app to get MFA codes, or you can use SMS to receive a text message with a unique code.

If you're using SMS, there is a 10 SMS per hour limit for receiving MFA codes. If you exceed this limit, you must wait 1 hour or have your admin reset MFA for your account. If you've already set up MFA with the Authenticator app, but wish to use SMS authentication, contact your account admin to reset your MFA.

Reset Multi-Factor Authentication

To reset multi-factor authentication for a user on your company account:

  1. From the homepage, click on Administration on the left side.

  2. Select Users .

  3. Find the user in the list and click the three dots on the right, next to the user's information.

  4. Click Reset Multi-Factor Authentication.

You will be asked to confirm that you'd like to reset multi-factor authentication for the selected user. The next time the user attempts to log in, they will need to set up their multi-factor authentication again.

Important: If you need to reset MFA for an admin account, a secondary admin can complete this action. If you do not have a secondary admin, contact support to reset your MFA.
