Use the dialog box to upload a mesh file.

(Optional) Adjust the Units for the mesh, selecting between meter, centimeter, millimeter or inch. If no unit is selected, no unit conversion is applied.

(Optional) Adjust the Model Scaling factor. For example, a value of 1.0 will not change the scaling while a value of 2.0 will double the size of the mesh, and a value of 0.5 will halve its size.

1. Click New Project.
2. Use the dialog box to upload a mesh file.

Format	Notes
ANSYS (MSH)	Only ASCII and binary ANSYS Meshing volume mesh files are currently supported. Newer ANSYS Fluent Meshing mesh files and ANSYS polyhedral mesh formats are not yet directly supported, but can be exported as "CGNS ADF" files and then imported into Luminary. Users wanting to import meshes from Fluent Meshing should use the CGNS ADF format (not HDF5). Only a small subset of ANSYS boundary conditions can be imported.
OpenFOAM Directory	The uploaded directory must either be an OpenFOAM polyMesh directory or have an OpenFOAM case directory structure, i.e., with "polyMesh" or "constant/polyMesh" subdirectories. Only a small subset of OpenFOAM boundary conditions can be imported. CellZone files may drastically impact the mesh you see in Luminary. If your mesh doesn't appear as expected, delete this file and reupload the directory.
Open-Standard (CGNS)	ANSYS users (2021 R1) must choose "ADF" during CGNS export. Only a limited subset of CGNS is supported (single-block, unstructured). Multi-zone files are automatically flattened/combined into a single zone. High order elements (if any, p=2) are converted to linear grid elements. In particular, there is no guarantee that the linear mesh will be valid. Some boundary conditions may not be imported/converted properly, especially for structured zones. For unstructured zones, the label of each section is read.
