Learn how to configure single- and multi-physics for a simulation.

Updated over a week ago

If your simulation requires multiphysics to account for complex interactions like conjugate heat transfer (CHT), you can configure fluid flow and heat transfer physics in the Physics section of the control panel.

To create new physics:

  1. Click the + icon next to Physics.

  2. Select either Fluid Flow or Heat Transfer in Solid. Learn more about each in the sections below.

  3. In the properties panel, configure material properties like viscous models, turbulence settings, spatial discretization, and solution controls.

  4. Click on Volume Selection to choose which volumes to apply the physics to.

  5. Create Physical Models if needed (Fluid only), or create Heat Sources (Heat Transfer in Solid only).

  6. Configure initial conditions by clicking on Initialization.

  7. If you have multiple physics set up, configure a Multiphysics Coupling.
